Highly complex 3D-printed ceramics for the highest demands

Alumina Systems GmbH manufactures dense ceramic components from the prototype to series production using 3D printing from aluminum oxide 99.9% and zirconium oxide. Without tools, we produce components in the shortest possible time that are not possible with any other manufacturing process, such as injection molding, pressing or extrusion.

Manufacturing complex, miniature components of the highest quality used to be very expensive and therefore uneconomical. The perfect solution for these tasks are additive production processes for technical ceramics. With the LCM technology, ceramic parts can be manufactured with a precision and geometries that are not possible with conventional products. In addition, additive manufacturing is also suitable for the cost-effective production of prototypes and small series.

Strategic investment by SWACRIT Technologies AG as of December 31, 2024

Swacrit Technologies AG

Effective December 31, 2024, SWACRIT, through SWACRIT Technologies AG, acquired a strategic stake in the German company Alumina Redwitz Holding GmbH. Alumina Redwitz Holding GmbH is the parent company of the Alumina Systems Group (“Alumina”). Alumina, formerly part of the Siemens Group, develops and produces ceramic components for demanding and mission-critical industrial applications and possesses unique expertise in vacuum-tight ceramic-metal composite components. The Austrian company SWACRIT systems GmbH and the Swiss company SWACRIT Technologies AG together form an innovative system supplier for the production of complex mechanical composite assemblies and high-precision components.

Swacrit Systems

The company’s activities are focused on capital goods markets for high technologies (especially vacuum technology), specifically on the semiconductor, analytical, and medical technology industries. SWACRIT systems has production sites in Hall, Wildermieming, and Nassereith (all in Tyrol). Through its investment in Alumina, a developer and manufacturer of vacuum-tight ceramic-metal composite components, SWACRIT becomes a unique system supplier in Europe, expanding its target markets and production footprint.
